Recently, we learned from official sources that the new Geely Boyue (parameter | inquiry) will begin its pre-sale on August 2. As a mid-term facelift model, this new vehicle will undergo adjustments to both its exterior and interior design. Additionally, the new model will be equipped with the Flyme Auto cabin system as standard across its entire lineup. The power unit remains the 1.5T + 7DCT combination. It is reported that the new vehicle will officially go on sale in August.

From an aesthetic perspective, the new model has undergone adjustments to its appearance. Compared to the previous model, the front grille design incorporates more vertical elements. The 12 vertical bars evoke the structural support of bridge columns. The side guard panels are adorned with straight, chrome-plated lines, adding more details to the front-end design. In terms of color options, there are four new Chinese-style car colors: Celestial Blue, Rain Alley White, Longshan Gray, and Water Reflection Silver.

The side profile creates a dynamic and ethereal visual atmosphere, with the design of the B/C/D pillars being concealed, giving the impression of a floating roofline. There are no significant changes in the rear portion compared to the current model. The new vehicle features a set of entirely new five-spoke wheels, while other aspects remain largely unchanged. The rear section still exudes a strong mechanical aesthetic, with features such as a roof spoiler and dual exhaust pipes arranged in a quad-tube configuration, which contribute to a powerful visual impact. It's worth noting that the new vehicle has a wheelbase of 2707mm, which is 6mm longer than the previous model.

The changes within the vehicle are mainly noticeable in the central control area. The new model features a 14.6-inch horizontal screen, and the surrounding decorations have been adapted accordingly, such as the addition of chrome accents to enhance the appearance. In terms of configuration, the central control screen has a resolution of 1920 × 1080, and it operates on the latest version of the Flyme Auto 1.8 system developed by Geely. This system supports multi-tasking modes with small windows, gesture control, full voice control, the 810 version of the GaoDe Map, and AI intelligent interaction. Additionally, all models are equipped with remote control capabilities via mobile apps, and there is a 50W wireless charging panel located below the screen.

In terms of active safety, the new vehicle is equipped with 5 high-definition visual cameras with 1-million pixel resolution, 2 high-precision millimeter-wave radar sensors, and 4 high-precision ultrasonic radar sensors, enabling the implementation of 16 active safety functions such as ICC, AEB, LKA, and LCA. Additionally, the L2-level autonomous driving assistant system in the new vehicle supports features like automatic following, automatic turning, and the recognition of traffic signs. Currently, the new vehicle's interior options include "Ruiyi Orange" and "Fu Lu Gray."

In terms of seating space, the comfort and convenience of the seats have been improved. The driver's seat features 6-way electric adjustment, while the passenger's seat has 4-way electric adjustment. The front seats support 3-level heating/ventilation, and the driver's seat has an "welcome" and "easy exit" function. The new car offers 1034 mm of legroom in the front row, 46 mm of headroom in the front row, 147 mm of knee space in the rear row, and 37 mm of headroom in the rear row. The rear seat cushion length is 525 mm. When the rear seats are folded, the cargo space depth reaches 1930 mm. The car has 37 storage compartments, with a cargo space capacity of 580 L and a hidden compartment of 75 L.

In terms of power, the new vehicle still features a 1.5T turbocharged four-cylinder engine, with a maximum power output of 133 kW and a maximum torque of 290 N·m. The transmission system is paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. The acceleration time from 0 to 100 km/h is 7.9 seconds, and the fuel consumption under the WLTC conditions is 6.44 L/100 km. We will continue to follow up on more information about the new vehicle.
